Our Daily Life

The daily routine has been carefully structured to create balance between activity, rest and the outdoors to ensure all the needs of the children can be met and the internal rhythm of the child is respected.

07:30 Breakfast session

Early birds are welcomed into the nursery and help to prepare a simple breakfast together with the guide or get straight to work

08:30 Our Montessori work period begins.

Individual snack and a water station are available throughout the morning for whenever the children get peckish. Children have access to our patio garden during this time as well as the play area. Once a week they can join a carpentry session.

11:30 Lunch time

We share a hot meal together. For more information on the importance of food in the community and meals provided click here.

12:30 Outdoor exploration

Time to head to the park, forest or fields for some fun, games and discovery.

2:40 Circle time

We explore topics, share in stories and enjoy music and movement at the nursery.

3:00 School day end

Children may be collected.

3:15 Snack time

For those staying, healthy snacks are provided.

3:00-6:00 Afternoon care

A range of activities are planned each week for the children to engage with. Some children may prefer to return to the shelves for further independent work or relax in the book corner. In the lighter months this may also be outdoors.

To stimulate life, leaving it free, however, to unfold itself… that is the first duty of the educator.
